A Thousand Pounds Up for Grabs for Community Champions of Nottingham

From grassroots charities to informal neighbourhood projects, Nottingham is full of people doing brilliant things for their communities. At Pink Storage, we want to acknowledge the positive impact that these groups are making and reward them with up to £1,000 to help them continue their excellent work.
Our Community Change initiative does just this. It’s open to the charities, community groups, good causes and local projects that are benefiting others across Nottingham. Whether it’s a volunteer-led youth club, a mental health support group, a local foodbank or a sports team in need of new equipment, our campaign is designed to celebrate and support the impressive efforts of others with a well earned cash prize!
Why We're Doing It
Pink Storage may be best known for providing self storage in Kirkby, but the people behind the business both live and work among these communities. We therefore see the impact local people have on their neighbourhoods every day. This campaign is therefore our way of giving back to those who quietly go above and beyond to make things better for others.
“So much good happens in our communities that goes unrecognised,” says Scott Evans, Managing Director at Pink Storage. “We want to shine a light on that, say thank you, and provide a bit of practical support where it’s needed most.”
How to Apply:
It’s easy to apply for the Pink Storage Community Change reward. Simply:
Nominate – Email community@pinkstorage.co.uk with a short description of your group or project and how the money would help
Shortlist – Three finalists will be chosen after entries close on 19th September 2025 and announced on social media
Vote – The public will be invited to vote for the project they want to see win
Prize – The top-voted group will receive £1,000, and two runners-up will each receive £200
This is open to any local group doing something positive in their community — no matter how big or small. If you’re helping people, we want to hear from you.
Community at the Heart of What We Do
While Pink Storage provides reliable container storage and self storage solutions for Nottingham, our long-term goal has always been to be part of something bigger. Supporting the people making change on the ground is a big part of that.
Our first Community Change award went to Ynysybwl RFC Minis rugby club, a children’s community rugby team in Pontypridd. We had an overwhelming response to the campaign and runners up included Rhydyfelin Netball Club and Ffrindiau Awel Taf.
We look forward to receiving your nominations.
